What makes it intelligent?

The Intelligent Fifth Wheel is not a conventional fifth wheel, but one equipped with an integrated module from Wenova.eu. It autonomously generates the crucial signal of the truck’s steering angle relative to the trailer and activates the emergency locking in a timely manner.

The system is based on an alternative magnetic-electronic coupling between truck and trailer. It is fully controlled by a patented, integrated technology that ensures maximum safety and control during driving, maneuvering, and loading/unloading.

Kingpin Emergency Lock

Why: The driver is required to check the coupling before driving off.

How: When the kingpin threatens to move more than a few millimeters out of its locked position, the additional patented emergency locking activates autonomously.
